Just curious how the hay situation is in your area?
We are still waiting to bale. Lot's of standing hay but no way to get it baled with the constant rain.
That is one job I like to have out of the way by mid July. It's hard to even plan to go away right now because if all of a sudden there are a few nice days in a row the hay is going to be coming at us fast and furious.

There was a lot of hay growing here...thought for sure the price would drop considerably. Most farmers in the area cut their hay right before the last 1 - 1 1/2 weeks of rain we got...all of it now rained on and completely brown. Hopefully there is a good second cutting since the first cutting is now garbage. Today has been our first day without rain for just about two weeks. But they are calling for more rain tonight.

I've seen quite a few in my area who have already baled. I'm not sure when they did it, since we've been having the same rain as you guys.

We cut here in July so the first cutting was first and second crop together. Got some rain on it. All long grassy stuff that is ok for Joey but Gracie will need grain again. He is trying to cut the last cutting today. Rains every other day here. Just not good haying weather. We'll have enough for winter, but it's pretty over grown stuff.

A couple days ago I bought 20 square bales to keep for the winter just in case I need to separate someone.
They have round bales as well so I'm waiting for them to give me a price on it. It is excellent hay. Very nice quality.
