Our boys love the branches that fall from the cottonwoods & alders; they'll chew them clean in no time.

I've seen a lot of places where they've put 1" or 1 & 1/2" sheet metal flashing over the fence boards; it's relatively cheap & if fastened well doesn't look like it pose any problem.

Any way you can space the feedings out? We feed 5 times a day & that helps minimize the antics too.
